Find me at KarenMcAMusic.threads.net

What’s all this about? Everyone perhaps having to pay to be on Twitter? No, Sir! I’m not actively leaving just yet, but if failure to pay results in accounts disappearing, then I’m afraid I will disappear from Twitter.

I’m on Threads: KarenMcAMusic.threads.net – maybe I should be asking my Twitter followers to follow me there?

And of course, I’m here on my blog.

I know – a blog is not the same as the casual, friendly conversations we used to have on Twitter. It’ll be interesting to see what we’re all doing in a year’s time!

Threads at Meta – I’m in!

Embroidered skeleton of Twitter bird

With all the kerfuffle about Twitter these days, I decided I’d better get a Threads account. (Appropriate for someone who sews ….)

However, although I’m @Karenmca on Twitter, I couldn’t get @Karenmca over on Threads; someone was there already. So I’m https://www.threads.net/@karenmcamusic. I don’t promise I’ll make much use of it right now, but if Twitter crashes completely, then there’s somewhere else to find me!

One Twitter account: @Karenmca

Just a quick explanation: I’m @Karenmca on Twitter, but since I had the AHRC networking grant for ‘Claimed from Stationers’ Hall’, I have also had a ‘Claimed from Stationers’ Hall’ Twitter account.

No more! I’ve decided to focus on the main @Karenmca Twitter account. There’s only one of me – I am who I am. So, if you have followed the ‘Claimed from Stationers’ Hall ‘ account, then I thank you for your support, and I ask, please could you now follow @Karenmca? Thank you.

Oh, and the image above? One of the magnificent carpets at Glasgow’s Mitchell Library. I spent the morning doing research there today.

(Let me out of my own library, and what do I do? Library history research in another one!)
