  2. Yes, my research looked at ‘musical services’ which were basically a set of magic lantern slides and a pile of wee booklets with songs and readings, to be interspersed with the slides. That was the accompanying music. I haven’t investigated all the thoosands of magic lantern shows that were NOT musical services or Scottish song recitals! I expect it depended what they were. I’ve only researched the magic lantern shows that “my” Scottish music publishers were associated with.
